Panik is your own personal assault alarm for those situations where you need an extra life line! Panik has a couple of tricks up its sleeve to keep you as safe as possible.

The first and most obvious one is a loud alarm sound with matching blinking screen/LED. This will draw unwanted attention to your attacker which might scare him or her away. Its possible to enter a PIN to prevent the attacker from turning of the alarm. To make it extra efficient the alarm will continue to sound even when the app enters background and if the attacker tries to lower the volume we will boost it up again automatically.

The second and perhaps most important features in Panik is its social integration. Why not use your entire social network when its really needed? Chances are that at least one of your friends is near by to help you out. Panik will keep track of your active position and send it through to the social channels if you wish. Panik features a number of ways to tell your friends and loved once that you need help.

The first and perhaps most obvious feature is the SMS integration. It lets send pre configured messages to important persons you have selected with only one tap on the SMS dialog send button. We also allow you to post tweets and status updates to Twitter and Facebook with your configured message and location automatically attached. To make it a bit more useful we also have to option to upload videos (with sound) to Facebook when the alarm is activated or when the attacker tries to lower the volume on the device. This might come in handy if theres need for evidence or to make your Facebook friends realise that its a serious situation and that you need help as quickly as possible.

Panik also offers some other features that might come in handy.

- SOS quick call button
- LED flash light. To find your way around in the dark or to blind your attacker.
- Activate alarm on shake. In case you get attached, all you have to do is shake your phone to activate the alarm.

So why not be as prepared as possible? You never know when the situation will appear.
